PAGS, as usual will offer play at U9 through U19 during the 2016 fall season. The divisions will be deliniated by birth year. For instance, U9 will be birth year 2008 and U14 will be birth year 2003. Clubs/teams may decide to form teams by a single birth year or multiple birth years. For instance, a U14 team can be either all 2003 or 2003 and younger players.
PAGS will play 7v7 at U9 and U10 and 9v9 at U11 and U12. For U9 and U10 the roster minimum is 9 and the maximum is 14. For U11 and U12 the roster minimum is 10 and the maximum is 18. For U9 teams must be 50% age pure, that is at least 50% of the roster must be born in 2008.
PAGS Premier Conference (U11-U19)
There will be no more than 50% of the current number of divisions in an age group in the PAGS Premier Conference (PPC) at U11-U14. For the U15-U19 age groups all divisions will be part of the PPC. For the U11-U14 age groups teams will apply for acceptance similar to a tournament and slots in the PPC will be awarded on a competitive basis. PAGS will enlist experts familiar with each age group to help select the teams accepted to the PPC. Division placement will be strictly based upon competitive level. Teams from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the Baltimore areas will only be accepted if they agree in writing to play all their home games at a neutral site of PAGS’ choosing, unless we are able to form a local division. PAGS will pay for the site if necessary. Delaware teams have always played in PAGS and are considered part of our core area.
The U11 and U12 age groups in the PPC will play a 9-game season with no playoffs. The U13 and U14 age groups in the PPC will play an 8-game season with playoffs (top 4 teams). Awards will be presented at U13 and U14 based upon playoff results. Limited flexibility to reschedule games will be offered once the schedule is provided to the referee assignors. PAGS recognize that teams in the PPC are likely to play in major tournaments in November so we will work around this.
The cost to play in the PPC is $375 regardless of whether the team is in state, out of state, secondary, or using US Club Soccer passes.
PAGS Charlotte Moran Conference (U9-U14)
PAGS will also offer the PAGS Charlotte Moran Conference (PCMC) for U9-U14. All U9 and U10 teams will play in the PCMC. U11 to U14 teams not accepted into the PPC will be offered a spot in the PCMC. Teams not wishing to travel should apply to the PCMC. All applicants will be accepted into the PCMC. Divisional placement will be based primarily on geography, with some emphasis on competitive level. For instance, there would likely be two or more Delaware county divisions so that we don’t have former Division 5 teams playing former Division 9 teams. PAGS will NOT accept any team into this league that is more than 60 miles from the league office. The only exception is teams from Delaware. Delaware teams have always played in PAGS and are considered part of our core area. In addition, if there are enough teams from Maryland who wish to play that we can create an acceptable division, possibly with Delaware and southern Chester county teams, PAGS will accept them.
The U9-U12 age groups in the PCMC will play a 9-game season with no playoffs. The U13 and U14 age groups in the PCMC will play an 8-game season with playoffs (top 4 teams). Awards will be presented at U13 and U14 based upon playoff results. The PCMC will offer maximum flexibility to reschedule games. However, there will be fees for changing games after the schedule is provided to the referee assignors.
The cost to play in the PCMC is $330 regardless of whether the team is in state, out of state, secondary, or using US Club Soccer passes.
